I first met Lauren back in 2020 when we were both setting up our freelance businesses in the mist of the Covid pandemic. Fast forward to 2025 and Lauren was ready to relaunch her successful PR and marketing business after returning from maternity leave. She had a new name and a clearer vision for the future of her brand, she was looking for an identity which would reflect this and approached me to help.
We started the process by having a discovery call where we discussed brand personality, values, mission and target audience and Lauren told me the story behind her new business name, inspired by her son’s first words flower and turtle. She was looking for an unforgettable identity packed with personality and one which would reflect her friendly, professional, excited, curious and collaborative brand values.
The first step was for me to collect reference images for a moodboard which conveyed my initial ideas. This helped us to further identify the important stories and messages that the identity needed to portray plus initial preferences for the colour pallet. Based on the feedback the next step was for me to work on concepts for the identity.
The chosen route utilises a customised rounded classic typestyle which is both friendly and professional. The turtle icon has movement and combines a flower and heart to convey growth and the caring, friendly brand personality. The colour palette combines a strong blue for stand out with warm friendly pinks.
Bespoke patterns using details from the identity were created to be used across the launch materials which included a business card and banner for LinkedIn.
Once all aspects of the branding were agreed I put the information together in a set of guidelines to ensure consistency when creating any future graphics.
Here's some feedback from Lauren on how she found the process
"Sharon recently supported me on my business rebrand and from start to finish, she was an absolute pleasure to work with - far exceeding my expectations both in terms of the design work and the overall process. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for professional design work.

Every step of the process Sharon was responsive, professional and friendly. Sharon has clearly used her experience to set up an overall service that is thorough, yet simple for clients to be involved with - she takes the time to get to know you and your business, to fully understand the brief and to ensure you are happy with the finished designs. This meant we didn't need additional time to do rounds of amendments, as she nailed the brief by spending the time upfront getting to know my requirements.

Sharon will definitely be my go-to designer for future work."
